SUMMARY: Delivers, assesses, educates, and documents plan of service to ensure the safe and appropriate use of Medical equipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following and other duties that may be assigned by management.

Provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers.

Contacts patients and provides delivery windows

Provides and secures appropriate documentation

Provides delivery, pick up and maintenance of various types of home medical equipment and medical supplies.

Evaluates home and caregivers to ensure safe and appropriate environment for equipment

Instructs customer and/or family in the proper and safe use of equipment and/or supplies.

May collect money from customers for private pay charges as directed.

Cleans and test equipment according to company policy and manufacturers’ specifications.

Clean, organize and maintain delivery vehicle according to company policy.

Accepts on-call service rotation as required by the company.

Services nursing home(s) as required by the company.

Returns paperwork by the beginning of the next business day or as requested.

Good physical condition, Strong communication skills (verbal and written), High level of prioritization skills and appropriate sense of urgency to fulfil services, Clean driving record, Valid chauffer’s license, Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate or ability to obtain a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate, Ability to read and write and perform basic mathematical calculations, Exceptional customer service skills. Some allied health training or skills preferred (medic, EMT, CNA or medical assistant like training).

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to evaluate routes and prioritize workload for urgent response.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand: walk, use hands to finger functions, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Expected to drive within and outside the region which will include driving during inclement weather in all seasons.

ORIENTATION: Must complete orientation in designated time frame. The employee will receive supervised training and familiarize themselves of company policies, procedures and services.

CONTINUING EDUCATION: Attendance at training programs and other training programs as designated by management.
