Hart Medical Equipment Officer Selected to HomeCare and Hospice Hall of Fame

Deborah Holman, RN, Chief Compliance Officer at Hart Medical Equipment in Grand Blanc has been selected as an inductee to the 2019 class by the Michigan HomeCare and Hospice Association (MHHA). Deborah joins a select group of past inductees who, through her career achievements, exemplifies the very best by continually bringing credit to her profession.      

“We are so pleased that Deborah is being inducted into the Michigan HomeCare and Hospice Hall of Fame,” said Barry Cargill, President & CEO for MHHA.  “Her many years as a volunteer leader and tireless efforts to collaborate the Home Medical Equipment Industry with other health care industry segments, made her selection an obvious decision this year,” said Cargill. 

The Michigan HomeCare and Hospice Hall of Fame annually honors select individuals who have excelled in the home care and hospice profession; bring honor to the home care and hospice profession; and who inspire and mentor individuals and students to consider or continue their careers in home care and hospice.  Also selected to the 2019 Hall of Fame Class is Christine Weir of Elara Caring in Jackson.      

Nominees for the Hall of Fame Award have been or currently are employed or involved in one or more home care and hospice industry segments and have made significant career contributions here in Michigan and nationally.   

Honorees will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony May 23, as part of the MHHA Annual Conference at the Grand Traverse Resort in Traverse City, Michigan.  The 2019 Conference is the largest gathering of the HomeCare and Hospice industry in Michigan.

About Deborah Holman, RN

Deborah Holman is the Chief Compliance Officer for Hart Medical Equipment in Grand Blanc, MI.

She is the current Chair of Michigan HomeCare and Hospice Association (MHHA) Education Committee, current representative and treasurer of the Medicare Region B Council, participates in the MHHA HME/Infusion Committee, past member of the BCBSM Liaison Committee, past member of the Board of Directors, Past President of MHHA,  30 years’ experience in the DME/Home Infusion Industry; in conjunction with the MHHA staff, developed the MHHA Education Committee and served as chair of that committee since that time;  Medicare Region B Council Representative for 10 years, providing clinical input to the council, Medical Director, and the Parenteral/enteral nutrition and IV A-Team;  Past Director of Nursing for Genesys Home Health Care. 

Deborah attended University of Michigan Flint, Hurley School of Nursing, Spring Arbor University.
